Welcome to the Detroit Mans League
In 2013, BL had arguably the best season in league history, finishing with a record of 11-2. Part of the reason being his team name was the "Lannister Lions". Much like the show Game of Thrones, BL was the dominant team in the Man's League, having the leagues top TE and WR in Jimmy Graham and Josh Gordon.
2008: Karl Boedecker
JZ was able to capture his first DML title in 2015, despite starting the season out 1-3. He then reeled off seven straight victories, en route to a Wolverine division title, and a Man's League Championship. Justin's team name, "Get SHAT ON" was very fitting. He became only the second Wolverine division member to win a championship
2014: Adam Beckerleg
2010: Karl Boedecker
2009: Jared Goltz
In Year 11 of the Detroit Man's League, new member Shane Thomas Kopy took home the Sussman making him the 8th different member of the league to win a title. Kopy sneaked into the playoffs going 7-6 in the regular season earning the 7 seed then blowing past the 2 seed, 3 seed and 1 seed in the championship. He must give thanks to the big dawgs that helped him get to the ship, Mark Ingram, Julio Jones, Zach Ertz and Adam Thielen
In just his second year as a member of the Man's League, Adam Phillip Beckerleg won a title. Propelled by Thomas Brady, as well as Fred "Gettin Head" Jackson, Becks earned his way into the playoffs where he defeated the combo of Russ and Jordo in the championship. Adam would also like to attribute his teams' success to Aaron Hernandez, who is currently rotting in prison.
In Year 8 of the Man's League, "Bobby" became the second DML Member to win two rings. Adam drafted Le'Veon "Juice" Bell with his first pick, and the Spartan Dawg carried his squad, "Green Eggs and Michael Sam" to his second Man's League title, defeated one of his arch-rivals Ryan Gregory in the championship.
2007: Justin Kucera
In Year 10 of the Man's League, Jared became the third member of the two-ring club. Despite leading the league in points scored, he finished the regular season as the #3 seed in the playoffs, where he went on to defeat Ryan McCallum in the championship, thanks in part a receiving corps of Antonio Brown, Jordy Nelson and T.Y. Hilton
2011: Adam Beckerleg
Justin won the first ever Man's League Title in 2007. With the team name, "Kelsey from Ohio", Justin went on to finish the season 11-2, with help from first round pick Brian Westbrook, who went on to finish the season as the 2nd ranked RB. He defeated Ryan McCallum in the Championship.
Karl established himself as one of the premier DML members after winning his second title in 2010. It helped that he had the #1 overall pick (Chris Johnson), but despite this, he finished sixth in the regular season. Karl put together an outstanding playoff run to take home his second Man's League trophy.
In Year 2 of the Man's League, Karl captured his first DML title. Taking a jab at fellow member Mustafa Khan, Karl named his team "Mustuvo Sucks". His apparent hatred toward Moose propelled his team to a championship victory over Joe Striks, mainly in part to the success of Adrian Peterson.
2015: Justin Zayid
MAN'S LEAGUE WALL OF CHAMPIONS
Jared captured his first Man's League Title in Year 3. Despite drafting LaDanian Tomlinson in the first round, who finished as the #19 RB, he was able to overcome this hurdle by defeating rival Kyle Yanalunas in the championship. Jared likes to credit Ricky Williams, who may or may not have been high throughout the season, for helping him capture a coveted Man's League Title.
In Year 18 of the Long Lived Detroit Mans League, the ole Commish Mr. Jared Goltz aka Goon Squad took home the hardware and his third Sussman Cup. Despite finishing the regular season in 4th place at 8-6, Goltzy had the horses needed to win it all with the likes of Jalen Hurts, Josh Jacobs (#6 RB) and Amon-Ra St. Brown (#3 WR). Goltz took down Mac in the quarterfinals putting up 157 pts and then taking down Kopy to head to the title game. In the Championship Goltz defeated The Shat Ons thanks to Rookie WR Malik Nabers scoring a season high 36 pts, thus giving Goltzy his 3rd ring in the DML.
2013: Brent "BL" Lockwood
2020: Vinny Vuichard
The Commish finally gets his ring. In 2012, Spencer went on to finish the regular season at 10-3, carrying himself into the playoffs as the #1 seed and heavy favorite, and he did not disappoint. With a team name of THE Manchild University, Spencer was exactly that. His team was led by first round pick, Arian Foster and Matty "Ice" Ryan.
In Year 12 of the Detroit man's League, the inaugural winner of the Sussman from 2007 finally made it back to the promise land, Mr. Justin Kucera making him the 4th two time champ in the league. Kuch got into the playoffs as a 4 seed going 7-6, where 5 of the eight playoff teams were 7-6 or worse with the two favorites sitting at 12-1 and 10-3 in the regular season. With the help of Mahomes and Kittle in round one he beat #5 seed Vinny followed by upsetting top seed Joe. In the Title game Kuch beat #6 seed Karl in a shootout 174-151 thanks to Mahomes, Jaamal Williams and Antonio Brown.
In Year 14 of the Detroit Man's League the unthinkable happened with Vincent Sergi Vuichard going from the Bag of Dicks to Detroit Mans League Champ. Vinny dominated the regular season starting 11-0 and getting the #1 seed at 11-2 then getting past Kopy and the Belugas in the quarters and semifinals. The Villains then delivered a knockout blow to Gregory in the Championship with 189 points thanks to 56 pts from Alvin Kamara and 40pts from Mike Evans. The Villains roster was pretty loaded with the #1 RB & TE Kamara and Kelce as well as a WR core of Top 20 WRs Lockett, Evans & Dionte Johnson The Villains have etched themselves into a DML history as a champion.

In Year 16 of the Detroit Mans League the man they call Yani or Yano finally got that 1st DML ring and the coveted Sussman Cup. With the help from Jordo on draft day Yani ran with it going 9-5 in the regular season thanks to a very balanced team and #1 ranked QB Patrick Mahomes. Round 1 of the playoffs Kyle snuck past Karl by getting 32 from Mahomes. In the semifinals the squad exploded getting 30+ points from each of Devonta Smith, Cam Akers & Tyler Higbee to beat Beckerleg by 63 pts. In the title game Yano's team exploded again going over 150+ points in back to back weeks over fellow Homestead Shore Resident Mac thanks to Davante Adams, Amari Cooper & Mahomes combining for 85 pts. Congrats to Keh for finally slaying the dragon!!

In Year 15 of the Detroit Man's League who would of thought that Team Kucera would of brought home the Sussman after an interesting draft. With their top picks doing work, RBs making late runs and solid pickups helped secure a 3rd Kucera Title in 15 years. Team Destroy The Hate had an outstanding season from Allen #1 QB, Adams #2 WR and Kittle #3 TE. Along with great pickups of Renfrow and Gronk. Team Kucera ended the regiular season the #3 seed with a 10-4 record and then took down Karl in round 1, Mus in the Semifinals and #1 seed BL in the Championship.

In Year 13 of the Detroit Man's League, Karl Boedecker took down the Sussman for a 3rd time (2008) (2010). Karl had a strong season grabbing the 2 seed going 9-4 and putting up 178 and 169 points in his Quarterfinal and Semifinal matchups. He then gutted out the Championship victory on Monday night thanks to Aaron Jones. Karl's squad was led by his dominant RB trio of Zeke, A Jones and Ekeler, along with Brees and TE beast Kittle.
2018: Justin Kucera
In Year 17 of the distinguished DML the team know as Get Shat On run by Justin Zayid and sidekick Samuel Pearl took home title number two cementing the Shat Ons in the history books. The Shat Ons had a respectable 9-5 regular season record finishing in the 3 spot but was then selected 2nd by 2 seed Mac to be his quarterfinal opponent. Despite not breaking 100 points in a playoff matchup JZ got past Mac, Karl and then BL in the Sussman Cup. This team was led by Ja'marr Chase (#11 WR) and DK Metcalf at WR along with Travis Etienne (#3 RB) and Brian Robinson in the backfield. Another year Mus misses out on a ring.
